My Everyday Make Up

 Hello everybody!

I thought I would do a little post about the make up I am currently wearing on a daily basis whilst also making it into a kind of mini-tutorial. I always get into a little routine when it comes to my everyday look and once I've found a product I usually keep it until it runs out and I have to find an alternative or I get bored with it. I will often experiment and switch up colours on my cheeks, lips and eyes.  I usually go for a dark or bright lip colour but recently I've been using more dull shades which gives a more natural and fresh look!

Face:

❤
Collection Lasting perfection Concealer "No 2 Cool Medium"

Essence Stay all day 16H Foundation "20 Soft Nude"

Maybelline Super Stay 24H waterproof powder " 10 Soft Ivory"

 Collection Blush " 3 Cheeky"

Eyebrows:

Collection Eyebrow Pencil " 3 Blonde" - Used to shape the brows.

Mac Eyeshadow " Omega" - Used to fill in the brows.

Eyes:

No7 Pallet " Matte Brown"
(There was sadly no name for this product so I decided to give it one)

Active Cosmetics Pallet " Light Powder"- Used under eyebrows and in the inner corners of my eyes.  (I named this one myself due to no name).

Seventeen  Doll'd up Mascara " Black" - Applied to both sets of lashes before curling my lashes.

W7 Flirty Eyes Mascara - Applied to both sets of lashes after curling.

Company Lashes ( Company Magazine free sample) - Applied to top lashes for more effect.

Lips:

Avon "Chic" - I used this colour as it gives a more natural look as well as defining my lips for a more Vintage look!

I hope you enjoyed this little update! I love having a little peak inside everyone's make up bags  and see what others are loving and finding useful! So I thought I would share my current favourites (which is a little snippet of a huge collection!). Please feel free to leave any comments or suggestions on what posts you would like to see!

The Little Things Which Matter Most....

Hello everybody!

As a lot of you may be aware that Facebook yet again has a new tag craze - 5 photo nomination. In case you don't know it's where you all nominate each other to upload 5 photos that make you happy. After seeing these dotted around and being nominated myself it got me thinking that no matter how old you are there are always little things which always make you happy. These things aren't always the most important things - like winning an award but little things like :

❤ Relaxing with a nice hot drink
❤ Freshly fallen Autumn Leaves
❤ Outings to unknown places
❤ Small jokes only you and a friend understand
❤ Time spent with loved ones

These all often have the same effect on us like the big important things and by capturing these moments we are all able to look back and re-live those feelings of living in the moment!

Just remember that no matter how tough life gets .. It's the little things which matter the most! They make us happy and create the best memories!

Rockabilly Inspired Hairstyles

Hey guys!

So recently I've been loving vintage / rockabilly hairstyles, which I have become some of my "go to" looks. They look somewhat challenging but when you get the hang of it then are so easy and look amazing, cute and pretty!
I will be leaving links at the bottom to the videos and YouTube channels which inspired and helped me learn!

Pompadour

This style has to be my most work look. It's quick, easy and looks lovely for when you want your hair/ fringe off your face ( like on those bad hair days). This stlyle can be worn with your hair down or up in a ponytail or messy bun and accessorised with a bandanna or small fower (or any clip in hair accessory like a bow or headpiece).

Front Pin Curl

This has to be my second vintage "go to" style. It takes a few attempts and practises to achieve a satisfactory curl, but once you're happy with it, it looks cute and gives you a whole vintage look. Like the Pompadour this style can be worn with your hair up or down with curly hair and accessorised with a flower, bandanna or headpiece. When I do this style I tent to just do a single curl at the front of my head- but you can get creative and add multiple curls to create a more artistic Pin Up Rockabilly look (similar victory rolls).

Pomp Curl

This style is cross between the Pompadour and Front Pin Curl. Instead of rolling from the side you roll the hair back to create the pompadour and curl (will be explained in the link at the end). This style looks great pinned up and really emphasises the whole vintage look. Again Like the other two this looks great with a Flower, Bandanna or headpiece.

Victory Rolls

This style has to be one of the most common and iconic vintage and Rockabilly hairstyles. Every time I see pictures I just simply fall in love! For me I feel that this is a more going out rather than casual style  but its lovely neither the less! (I've never really attempted it as much as the others so sorry if it's not top quality).  After many experiments this image was the outcome and the once I am most proud of!
As the rolls are positioned at the top of my head I decided to accessorise with a small flower but like the other three any hair piece, scarf or bandanna will look lovely with this style and really give you a whole Vintage, Retro and Rockabilly look! (I shall defiantly be wearing it when I go out to Rock N Roll nights or parties).

Favourite Lipsticks

For me Lipsticks and Lip glosses have become a huge part of my look whether it's for going out, casual or for effect, I am rarely seen out and about bare lipped! I realised the other day that I have built up quite a collection but I still tend to wear the same ones over and over, so I thought I would share them with you! ( Some of the paint work has faded on some due to me taking them around in my bag).

Lipsticks:

 ❤ Rimmel Kate moss "107"

 ❤ Rimmel Kate moss "01"

❤ Collection "3 sugar plumb"

 ❤ L'oreal caresse "06 Aphrodite Scarlett"

Revlon "447 black cherry"

Topshop "Beguiled"

Collection lip butter "3 vintage rose"

❤ Rimmel lip butter

Lip glosses :

Tanya burr "vampire kiss"

Tanya burr "smile, dream ,sparkle"

Maybeline colour sensational lip gloss "420 glorious grapefruit

Rimmel vinyl gloss "pin up"

L'oreal glam shine " 407 magnetic nude glow"

Rimmel apocalips "400 Big Bang"

As you can tell some of those have been used quite a lot and they are all similar colours and shades  (As most of the glosses are worn over the lipsticks to give it that extra shine!) and as Autumn and Winter approaches now is the perfect time to bring out the Reds, Darks and berry shades!
