A Small Update....

Hello Everybody, It's been an awfully long time since my last post...too long in fact! So I thought I would make a quick update post, before I start begin posting again! The reason for my lack of posts comes down to many reasons:

- School has taken up a huge part of my spare time and I have been so so so busy doing coursework, filming, essays, rehearsals and drama performances - all of which had to meet different deadlines... ahhhh!

- Linking to school I have also been going to many university open days and sorting out my UCAS, finance etc ready for when I go to university (I now have 3 offers and an Interview next week... yay!)

-  I have also been taking up overtime at work and working almost everyday for most weeks as well as juggling the above!

- Finally one of the more annoying reason is I have been quite ill recently with different things, from the stress of the above things and loads of illnesses have been going around ( total nightmare!)

So now those things are dying down I have more free time on my hands and I will be posting more on here! I have a few posts lines up so they will be making an appearance very soon! These will include:

- Hairstyle tutorials/ posts
- Reviews
- Make-up tutorials/ posts
and more!

One small update is I got my first tattoo.. ekkk! It's a lucky 13 tattoo on the back of my neck and I love it to bits! The whole process was so interesting and I was really looked after by everyone in the studio! (Yes it is the first of many more to come!).

Another small update is today I dyed my hair lilac! ...A small change from my normal white/silver ( which will return). This is also a Slight disclaimer as some of the new posts I will be using older photos (of my old colour) ... just pointing that out if there is any confusing or a combination of old and new images!

Hope you all are okk! and I hope to speak soon!

Mini Primark and New Look Spring/Floral Haul

Hello everybody!
It's been a while since my last post, but I am going to be making a new schedule for both my blog and for YouTube ( which I haven't done since October..oops!!). So now all the shops are starting to bring out their spring collections, I decided to go for a little shop to get some more spring clothes. But as it is still quite chilly here I focused more on accessories rather than outfits...

New Look:

I'm actually in love with most of New Look's Spring collection... I am defiantly going to go back for more items ( and try not to buy the whole store!!)

Flower headband- £3.99
I brought this to wear with a messy bun, but I personally think it would look lovely with any hairstyle.

Daisy Necklace- £7.99
I saw this from a distance and instantly fell in love!! I felt it can go with any outfit and found it really cute and sweet.

Leaf Headband - £3.99
I've seen this several times I've gone into New look but didn't but it as I felt it didn't go with anything I wore, but I finally gave in and I just love it!

Flower clips - £3.99

I looked in my pot the other day and realised that I hardly have any clips for my hair other then bobby pins and hair slides, so I decided to buy these cute flowers to start up my collection.

From New Look I also brought some more hair grips ( bobby pins) as I was running low but I felt like they didn't really need to be featured aha!

Primark

I only briefly went into Primark and  only managed to pick up a few items as it was packed and a lot of things didn't have my size (always the worst!!) but I am defiantly going back next week to get more things as again I just loved everything!!

Birds and flowers Tshirt- £4.00

Whilst looking at the million T-shirts I found this cute pin rolled Tee with a cute pattern on it, compared to the other T-shirts on offer I felt like this one was quite subtle and sweet.

Socks- £1.50 each

As I am now wearing a lot of ankle boots, brogues, moccasins and dolly shoes I felt like I had no pretty socks to go with them (as all mine are either patterned or plain). When I found these I thought the little frills would look lovely with any outfit making it more cute and girlie. ( I of course brought them in a variety of colours)

Floral New York cropped T-shirt- £5.00

I was this on a manikin tucked into a skater-skirt which looked really nice, but I also think it would look nice with some leggings, high waisted jeans or even short. Perfect for the weather change!!

That's everything I brought this time around and I've just realised how much floral and flowered items I got ( maybe need to tone down on that). But nothing says Spring time like flowers ... right??

Have you brought any new spring items yet? or updated your wardrobe?
Are there any items you would recommend?

Leave a comment or tag me on Twitter or Instagram and show me!!

See you all soon!!

Jess ❤

I'm Late I'm Late! For A Very Important Date!!

Hello Everybody! Sorry I haven't blogged in a while! I've been so busy with coursework, Rehearsals and work ( yes I got a job ..YAY!!) As this is the first Sunday I'm not doing over time I thought it was time for a nice blog post!

So this week it was my friend Charlotte's birthday and she decided to have an Alice in Wonderland themed party... Tea party, As the host she became the mad hatter and assigned everybody a part. Luckily for me I was given Alice, which is nice simple and nothing too drastic ( as I had to leave the party for work and then return back  later). Here is my "tutorial" on my face and outfit for Alice.....

Make up:

Face:
Collection Lasting perfection concealer "2 cool medium"
Rimmel wake me up foundation "Ivory"
Collection Lasting perfection power "2 medium"
Rimmel blusher " 05 live pink" (any light pink will do)

Blend these in as normal like your everyday make up look, or lighter if you're going for the more natural look.

 Eyes:
For this look I started by using a light blue eye shadow and then getting a slightly darker shade a blended my way to the outer corners of my eyes, before adding the darkest shade in the creases to give a smoky eye effect. After this you can add some eye liner if you want to, I tried it and I don't really suit eye-liner so I just went over it with eye shadow again so its is a faint line instead of a bold one.

Lips:

Baby lips "cherry me"
L'oreal caresse "06 Aphrodite Scarlet"
Pink lip gloss ( from Avon)

For the lips you can use any pale pinks or nude to give a natural effect.

Hair:

This part if optional!! I just curled my hair with a curling iron to get the curls she has but this part is entirely up to you and what you like!! If you hare going to use heat to style remember to use heat protect sprays!!!

Outfit:

Dress- Primark
Socks- Primark
Belt- New Look
Shoes- Topshop
Necklace- Gift (any small pendant will do)
Headband- Claire's accessories

And that's the finished look! Feel free to ask me any questions and leave any comments! and I'll see you all very soon!

A Mini Autumn Haul

This week end my parents and I went into town for a spot of shopping... Our main aim was to find me some ankle boots as my old ones broke :'(.. Turns out I got a lot more than that....

First stop my favourite place.. Primark!

The first thing I picked up was this blouse in the sale for £5.00. I think that this would look lovely with a pair of leggings or disco pants as the back of the blouse is longer than the front; giving it a nice flowing effect. I also think that the leather collar would look nice poking out the top of a jumper in the winter.

As the weather is getting more cold, rainy and miserable I like being nice and cosy  at night with a cup of coffee or hot choc so I picked up some cosy PJ bottoms for £5.00 (featured in my toilet tag video). They are soo soft and warm! I just can't wait to wear them.

I also picked up a Long sleeved PJ top (£5.00) as most of mine are either T.shirts or strap tops. I shall be going back to get some more as this is so cosy.

I then went up to the accessory section where I picked up this beanie for £2.00.  It is a nice light pink colour with a darker/coral pink going through.  I will be going to purchase some more as Primark have some really nice ones in and I love wearing beanies in the autumn winter as I feel nice and cosy on my travels as well as having an excuse to hide my hair on a bad hair day.

I then picked up this tartan scarf for £1.50. I felt like the colours really expressed the autumn season and I've always loved a bit of tartan. I noticed that it is wired which for easy styling (mainly the reason a brought it). I have never owned or worn a wired headband/ scarf before so I tried it as soon as I got home and I loved it!

After loving my last Primark lipstick I went back to buy another. This time I picked up a dark pink as dark lips look really nice in the autumn season, I noticed that it smells exactly the same as the once I brought before ( lovely sweet strawberry). They are only £1.00.. can't argue with that.

Next stop was New Look where I picked up two pairs of ankle boots ( £19.99 each). This was my main aim of the trip as my old pair (featured in my last post OOTD) became old and tatty with a massive hole in the front! :( I was undecided about which colour to get as I just loved the brown colour but at the same time I found the black more practical and would go with a lot more. I decided on the brown pair but then my mother snuck back, grabbed the black and decided to buy me both when I was having a browse at the sale... Thanks Mum!

I then quickly nipped into Superdrug to look at the sleek counter as I have heard so much about this brand but haven't actually tried any myself. Whilst browsing at the blushers I found this nice orange toned one called "life's a peach" 922. As I don't own any peachy blushers and orange is one of my favourite colours I just had to pick it up. It was only  £4.49 so it didn't break the bank too much.

Final stop of the day was Lush ( gotta love a bit of lush) where I picked up two more of their festive ball ballistics.
The first of these is the "Bombardino" (left) this smells just like a lemon cheesecake ( yum). I was going to buy this last time I was in lush but I decided to get a golden wonder instead so I just had to pick one up this time!
The next thing I picked up was a "snowman"(right) he smells just like butterball; vanilla and fresh. This just puts me in the Christmas mood and its only November.. *sigh* He is quite cute and smells so fresh.
(I've included the website images so you can see them in all their beauty as mine are a bit deformed).

If you want reviews on any of these then please leave a comment!

Have you got any of these? What did you think? Are there any other products you would recommend?

Jess❤

A Small Spending Spree...

Being in sixth form means that I hardly get to see my friends who go to collage...which sucks! So what a better way to catch up than a small shopping spree...

First stop was Primark! The store near me hasn't really appealed to me during the past months but as the autumn/winter ranges are coming out I have actually been loving some of their new stuff!

The first thing I picked up was this black and white chiffon blouse with a large black bow and black velvet spots along the top. I thought it was a cute little top that would look lovely with a pair of leggings or skinny jeans. This was only £8.00

The next thing I picked up was this cute, festive pj set for £5.00. I have been meaning to buy some more pjs for a while but nothing I saw really took my fancy until now. Primark have recently got some really nice pj sets for good prices so grab them while you can! I will definitely be going back for more!

Whilst standing in the queue I noticed some festive socks (you can never have too many pairs of socks). It's always a pain when you go to put on a pair and you find holes or that they are on their way out. I realised
that I don't really own any festive or winter patterned socks so I picked up a pack of 5 for £3.00... bargain!

After picking up the socks I turned around and saw a stand full of lipsticks for £1.00 (can't argue with that). Whilst having a brief browse I saw an orange/ peach toned one that simply caught my eye and stood out from the rest. This colour also grabbed my attention as I don't own any colours other than nudes, pinks and reds (as none have really appealed to me). So I picked one up to try out, I also thought it would be a nice subtle colour for autumn time :)
(especially if your school is strict on make up like mine).
Another massive perk to this lipstick (which I found out when I got home) is that it smells AMAZING! It doesn't have that ordinary awful lipstick smell.. oh no! In fact it smells all fruity either oranges or strawberries (I couldn't tell).. yum!
If you have this please tell me what you think of it and that the smell is... I need to know!

After Primark the next stop was New Look. but there was nothing I really liked or stood out to me and there wasn't many ankle boots in stock yet.. darn! (main reason I went in). So I hit the sales (there are often pretty decent items in their sales for good prices) where I picked up this skirt  (The belt reminded me of fallen leaves) it was knocked down from £20.00 all the way to £6.00...wahheeey! I thought it would look nice with tights, boots and a nice blouse or T.shirt for a casual autumn look!

This morning I ran out of pressed powder so I popped into boots to pick some up, luckily for me it was in the sale for £1.99.
 (01 candlelight)

Final stop was one of my favourite places... LUSH!
I felt quite adventurous so I decided to purchase two ball ballistics (bath bombs) that I haven't tried before (but I have heard so much about).

The first one I picked up was the "space girl" ball ballistic it looks so pretty and smells just like parma violets, it includes popping candy for a crackling effect; turning the water purple. (£2.25)

Since I have never tried any of the festive products I decided it was time for a change so I purchased a 'golden wonder' ball ballistic (£.3.50). There has been a huge hype about this product and it sells fast it! It looks and smells lovely and I have been told that it turns your bath many colours and has mini presents inside (how cute and festive).

Have you have used these before? what are your thoughts? are they good? are there any more you would recommend?

If you want any reviews on the above then let me know!
